When the first snow covers the landscape in late autumn, then it begins – winter in the Schladming-Dachstein region. Then the skis are taken out of the cellar, the toboggan runners are polished and waxed and everything is made ready for the first guests of the season. On the other hand, the fun slope, the cross park, the race track or the super park are action packed. Those in need of a break can regain their strength in one of the 50 ski huts and restaurants.

Make your way through untouched snow, at the same time breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the deep winter landscape before you. In the Styrian region of Schladming-Dachstein there are snowshoe hikes for beginners as well as more experienced. Beautiful routes situated close to the Hotel are the Rohrmooser snowshoe tour or the snowshoe hike to Rossfeld.
A toboggan ride takes you rapidly from the mountain to the valley. Making tobogganing fun for both young and old. Around the Hotel Winterer there are many opportunities for adventurous tobogganing. One highlight is the Hochwurzen toboggan run, which at 7 km in length is one of the longest natural toboggan runs in Austria. Several days a week the track is illuminated in the evening. Night tobogganing in Schladming is a special experience. Don’t miss it! Also discover other toboggan runs in the region for even more variety. Many of the sports shops and huts offer toboggans for hire.
