Trail running
Ready, set, go – at a fast pace, it’s uphill, altitude metre by altitude metre. Trail running is the new off-road running trend. In narrow mountain trails, over stones, roots and scree, the routes always lead uphill – and at the end of your run its back down to the valley. There are also several designated trails around Schladming and Rohrmoos. Such as the challenging Schladminger Tauern Trail, which leads 45 km through uneven terrain, covering over 4,400 metres in altitude both up and downhill. Beginners can start with the Rohrmoos running loop of around 8 km or try the beautiful Hochwurzen Trail, on which there is a crisp 760 metres in altitude to overcome.
Nordic Walking
It doesn’t always have to be a summit. Numerous leisurely walking and Nordic walking paths start in Rohrmoos and Schladming.
Zip Line
At top speed down to the valley with the Stoderzinken zipline. From an altitude of 1.600 m fly with a zipline at speeds of 115 km per hour. Pure action!
Swimming pools and lakes
Hiking boots off and swim suite on. The numerous pools and lakes of the region guarantee water fun to the extreme.
Climbing routes
In the Schladming-Dachstein region there are 30 via ferrata for young and old, for beginners and experienced climbers.
