Schladming is at the centre of the holiday region Schladming-Dachstein in Styria. Schladming became famous, mainly due to the legendary night race, which takes place annually at the end of January. Around 45,000 fans make their way to Schladming every year to experience this spectacular combination of skiing and party. But there is also a lot going on in the village surrounded by mountains in summer. For example, the annual Mountain bike world cup takes place on the Planai. Not only bikers, but also hikers and trail runners appreciate the region south of the Dachstein during the warmer months.

Winter in Schladming

A winter holiday in the Schladming-Dachstein region gets all skiers hearts racing. Directly from the Hotel Winterer into the ski resort of Hochwurzen. The Hochwurzen is part of the 4-mountain ski area. There are 123 kilometres of slopes waiting for you. There is also plenty to discover away from the slopes. Slow the pace with a snowshoe hike through the untouched landscapes or jet down the mountain on one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria (7km).
